Silkscreen

A printing technique in which a woven mesh is used to support an ink blocking stencil. The stencil forms open areas of mesh that transfer the printable materials as a sharp image onto the substrate.

Advantages of Silkscreen Printing:

  • The process can be managed on substrate of any shape, thickness or size
  • The thickness of the ink can be greater than other printing techniques
  • A wider range of inks and dyes are available for use compared to other printing processes
  • Fast production rate because of simplistic process

Hot Stamp

Hot stamping is a dry method of applying graphics to a surface using heated die and foil. The hot stamping process is fairly simple. A selected die is mounted and heated at which time foil is positioned above the material to be imprinted. The stamp quality depends on a combination of heat, dwell time, pressure, and stripping time. The success of hot stamping is directly correlated with the quality of the beginning artwork.

Advantages of Hot Stamping:

  • Hot stamping can be applied to almost any surface including plastics
  • Being a simple dry method makes hot stamping environmentally friendly because it does not use solvents or create any harmful vapors

Pad Printing

Pad printing is another great way to make artwork. It is a great way to make a 2d image into a 3d image.
